With a new era of scientific revolution, the development of "Internet +" industry especially e-commerce becomes inevitable. In recent years, Guangzhou endeavors to develop into national e-commerce demonstration city as well as cross-border e-commerce pilot city.

In detail, Guangzhou has a variety of leading Internet-lead enterprises and brands in e-commerce, mobile Internet including Tencent Wechat, UCWeb, Kugou etc. Besides, NetEase, YY and Vipshop became the top 10 Internet enterprises in China in 2014.

Guangzhou government also gives priority for development of e-commerce. "Guangzhou has its advantages for developing "Internet +" and e-commerce. It is important to speed up the implementation of "Internet +" strategy because it can revive and boost economic growth," said Chen Jianhua, Guangzhou mayor.
