Guangzhou has become one of the cities to have the rare chance to host a cuisine competition, often considered to be the ‘culinary Olympics’.

About the Bocuse d’Or

In January 1987, world reknowned French chef Paul Bocuse founded the Bocuse d’Or, a world-class gastronomy competition. Replicating major sporting events like the Olympics, he imagined a competition with a true focus on cooking and on the chefs. The central idea is to bring together 24 young chefs from all over the world, among the most promising talents of their generation, and have them prepare superb dishes within 5 hours 35 minutes. Every two years, the Grand Finale is held in Lyon, France, to promote the best in contemporary culinary talent, tradition and innovation from the diverse culinary traditions across the globe.
