More than 200 precious Liling five-color underglaze artworks are being displayed at Lingnan Exhibition Hall in Ersha Island, Guangzhou from July 28 to August 7, 2017. These precious and exquisite porcelain artworks are created by great masters of national and provincial levels as well as promising young artists.
Participating artists include 26 craft masters, such as Chinese crafts and artisan masters of Liling five-color underglaze technique Chen Yanglong, Wang Jianyi and Song Dingguo, Chinese ceramic arts masters Li Riming and Zhong Fangping.
Artworks cover landscape, calligraphy, figure, craft flowers and plants, birds and animals, and so on. They are lively and elegant, presenting a delightful feast of artifacts. There are also many masterpieces and new artworks created by promising young ceramic artists, with distinctive features and brilliant highlights.
Liling is a county-level city under the administration of Zhuzhou, central China’s Hunan Province. It is famous for its traditional porcelain industry. Underglaze is a method of decorating ceramic articles in which the decoration is applied to the surface before it is glazed. There are also in-glaze decoration and on-glaze decoration.

How to get there: Take bus No. 12, 57, 89, 131B, 131A, 194 or B21, get off at Xinghai Concert Hall (星海音乐厅) or Ersha West (二沙西), and walk towards Qingbo Road (晴波路) to get to the exhibition hall.
