About Wang Yabin
Wang Yabin is a dancer, choreographer and producer based in Beijing and Artistic Director of Yabin Studio. In 2009 Wang Yabin started her own studio named Yabin Studio and produced a dance performance each year under the brand name Yabin & Her Friends. In 2016, Wang Yabin became the first Chinese choreographer invited by the English National Ballet to co-create the dance She Said.
Her extraordinary talent has received praise from critics and artists alike. She has gained a reputation as the most promising and pioneering choreographer, dancer and producer of new contemporary dance in China. Financial Times commented that "She (Wang Yabin) has a background in Chinese classical dance but has also worked to bring more contemporary dance to China, and headlines an annual programme of creations, Yabin and her Friends."
