Italian culture, steeped in the arts, architecture, music, food and fashion, has flourished for centuries. What is the best way to experience Italy's diverse culture and "dolce vita" (good life) in one day? Lucky people in Guangdong are able to enjoy an authentic taste of Italian culture this Saturday (September 16) at the First Italian Festival in Guangzhou.

This event is organized byHuabiao Group, co-organized by the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC), and supported by the Consulate General of Italy in Guangzhou, the Italian Trade Commission (ITA), and the Italian Chef Federation (F.I.C.), as well as media sponsor, Guangdong Radio and Television's Radio English Service.

It will be a day full of fun activities, entertaining both adults and children. The festival will kick off with a motorcycle show and a Venetian style parade.

A series of performances will follow, including singing, fashion shows, cooking demonstrations, rollerblading, DJ music mixing and much more.

Around 40 Italian exhibitors will be displaying a wide range of Italian products, as well as offering courses and games to introduce Italian culture.

Come and have a bite of Italian cuisine, with not only pizza and tiramisu available, but Italian hand-made brand name ice-creams, snacks, coffee and wine. Renowned Italian chefs will also be there, demonstrating their cooking skills to whet your appetite.

For fashion and art lovers, don't miss the courses that have been arranged inside four luxury villas. A limited number of lucky visitors will be able to attend mini sommelier courses, an antique fair and an introduction to interior design, leather care and maintenance as well as handicraft and flower art shows.

At outdoor booths, you will also find displays of exquisite jewelry, ceramics, bags and paintings.

It is the perfect opportunity to educate your children about Italian culture through easy and interesting games. Accept the challenges of piling ice-cream balls, solving puzzles, learning to speak Italian, playing a soccer game and collecting stamps.

Those who collect all of the available stamps will receive gift bags. Kids will also have great fun on the bouncy castle and with the clowns. If you want to win the soccer mascot contest, start practicing your soccer skills or catwalk strut now. Prizes for this challenge are worth over 1200 yuan.
